Nationalism do COUNT!

A proud Filipino, you could  actually know when you’re a proud Filipino like me. Here are other ways to show my nationalism to my country in modern times:

    

#1 Promote love, peace, harmony and happiness.

 . Because when we live in a country that is peaceful and has harmony, you can really find people that our happy and, are there for their love ones when their love ones really need someone to lean on. And if there is love, peace, harmony and happiness in one’s country you can easily get along with each other and this is one example that I could really follow and show my nationalism to others.

#2 Promote delicious filipino dishes like sinigang na bangus, kare-kare, chicken adobo etc.

.In this way I could really show my nationalism because if I promote different delicious filipino dishes I could express my feelings because I know that I am giving pride to my country. 

# #3 Taking care, loving and respecting the elderly especially my parents and grandparents.

. I can my show my nationalism in this way because when you love and respect elderly persons you also love and respect GOD who made us all possible, but not only the elderly ones, I could also show my love and respect to all the people that surrounds me even if they are young. At least I show my love and respect to them. And here are ways to show my love and respect to the elderly, my parents and grandparents, I say po and opo and I show my respect by means of blessing (nagmamano) to the elderly and for my relatives I kiss them in their cheeks to show my love and respect to them and for my parents I hug them and thank them for all the support they are giving to me every single day. And also for my teachers, I follow all of what they are commanding to me because I know they are also giving their best to teach not only me but also the rest of the class.

Modern Nationalism

Nationalism can only be genuine if it's rooted on self-respect or respect for the nation and the good that it represents. Without it, one is only being divisive. The best way to show my Filipino pride is to uphold the seat of authority, the rights of the citizens, and the welfare of the people regardless of recent events by means of words, written and verbal, in any medium to encourage self-respect. How I treat the presidency, the constituents, and the nation's image is how I treat myself. And I am not afraid to shout to the that I AM A FILIPINO AND I AM PROUD TO BE ONE!

I Am a Proud Filipino

What comes into your mind when you hear the word nationalism during these times? Well, for me nationalism is the word that expresses my patriotic feelings to my country. And how can I show these feelings these present times? Well, Wearing items which symbolizes the country do count, yet, being proud of your nationality is in the HEART. I’m not trying to sound exaggerated, but, you could really feel it through your mind and spirit that you’re a true-blooded Filipino. Your heart and soul proudly screaming, “I’m a Filipino just like …!”you name it, people who made Philippines and Filipinos once again on the spotlight which is something to be proud of. More often than not, when you’re in a foreign country, your little acts already symbolize the Filipino people, the whole Philippines. It’s a matter of how and what you want Filipinos to be known as by your foreign folks, considerably, you represent the whole nation. And here are some practical ways to show my nationalism to my country. I will support and buy local products. I will support local cultures such as music, arts, dance and literature. I will do something or help for the greater good for mother country. I will love and care for our fellowmen. I will discipline myself and obey the laws. I will speak up and do my best in all!
